On this evening CIYC invited leaders of major corporations, either headquartered or branch headquartered in York Region in Ontario, along with local and regional government officials and a representative of a federal official, to celebrate the business advantages of this area, and to learn about CIYC's projects. York Region, where CIYC is headquartered, leads many North American communities with advances in topics covered in our RATE and WYKD projects.
On the main Library floor a large glass display case held CIYC posters and other organization information, along with a series of framed photographs of mostly York Region landscapes, which are available for purchase as fundraising for our charity. Excellent presentations by Lori Ross, VP Marketing, Staples Business Depot and Erin Mahoney, VP National Environmental Business Sector, EarthTech were enjoyed by the attendees. Athough many of the invited executives were travelling that day, lively discussions filled the meeting room during the networking time.
